Debunking the myth that Chatham is the home of the 'chav' Primal PR has been working with Matrix Securities and Medway Council to promote the retail and leisure environment around Historic Chatham Dockyard including Dockside Outlet, Dickens World, an area now home to chic restaurants, bars and dockside loft apartments.
The Extreme Dockside event produced an increase in footfall of 85% over the three days of the event compared to 2006 (21,787 vs 11,802), and retailers reported an increase in sales of 45% for the same period.
